SHIPPING

Our tubers and rooted cuttings ship in spring as weather allows (our target month is April). If you'd like to receive your tubers or cuttings earlier, please contact us and we'll try to accommodate your request.

We only ship cuttings via Second Day or Overnight shipping. Why? Any longer than that, and the cuttings won't have a good outcome. We believe it's worth the extra cost to be able to extend your growing season without worrying about tuber rot. However, we do utilize a shipping service that offers deeply discounted pricing, and we pass those savings on to you.

Be aware that if you elect to have your dahlias shipped to you earlier than our scheduled shipping dates, you assume full responsibility for any weather and/or temperature related misfortune that may befall your tubers or cuttings.

Please also be aware that we only ship throughout the lower 48 states in the US at this time.

CUTTING QUALITY

We guarantee our cuttings will be robust and well-rooted. Our shipping process is designed to prevent damage to your cuttings in transit. If your cuttings arrive damaged, please contact us immediately with photos in order to get started on a solution. After 24 hours, the customer assumes all responsibility for their cuttings.

TUBER QUALITY

We guarantee our tubers will be viable with a visible eye. Inspect your tubers as soon as you receive them; any complaints must be accompanied with photos and must be made within 48 hours of package delivery. After 48 hours, the customer assumes all responsibility for their tubers.

SANITATION PRACTICES

According to the American Dahlia Association, approximately 87% of dahlias are infected with a virus. Under those conditions, we cannot guarantee that our dahlias are completely virus-free; however, we do aggressively cull any dahlia showing signs of virus. We also clean our cutting instruments with Virkon-S, and our trays with a 10% bleach solution in between uses.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Here at Cora's Dahlias, we believe not only in cultivating joy through dahlias, but also in cultivating solutions alongside our customers when they find themselves with questions or concerns. Human connection is important, and people matter to us.

With that in mind, please be aware that any communication with staff that includes verbal or written abuse is unacceptable. Our employees work long, hard hours to make magic happen; in order to safeguard their mental wellbeing, anyone who chooses to include abusive language in their contact with our employees runs the risk of having their orders canceled and their participation in future sales blacklisted. If a customer's behavior results in their order being canceled, there will be a $20 administrative/restock fee.
